Casio VZ-1 Samples
Even though Casio claimed that the VZ-1 utilized an enhanced form of the synthesis method of the CZ-101 (and the rest of the CZ range), which they called iPD many musicians prefered the sounds from the earlier Casio synths. In many ways iPD was somewhat similar to the amazingly successful Yamaha DX range of synthesisers and while, at times, the VZ-1 could sound similar to a Yamaha DX7 it could also produce sounds which would be impossible to create on the DX7. It could be said that the Casio CZ 101 sounded warmer than the VZ-1 but run the VZ (and our samples) through a filter or other effects and you will quickly discover a range of useful warm digital sounds which may not yet have been heard before now. Read more about the Casio VZ-1 Synthesiser
Currently we only have the one, very comprehensive, collection of Casio VZ-1 samples but we may well return to this wonderful synth in the future as I feel that, with a little more practice, I could produce some astonishing sounds.
