Yamaha TX802 Sample Collection
The Yamaha TX802 is an 8-part multi-timbral rackmount module which creates its sounds using FM synthesis. FM synthesis was made famous by Yamaha's DX7 synthesizer and the TX802 is capable of producing the sounds of the DX7 II. In many ways the TX802 can be compared to having 8 DX7IIs in single module. For those considering purchasing a Yamaha TX802 sound module the demo tunes below were created using our Yamaha TX802 sample collection and they should give you an idea of the capabilities of the synthesizer.
For those who can't afford to buy themselves one of these AMAZING digital synthesizers we took a huge selection of 24-bit samples (nearly 16,000 individual samples, over 9GB in size) creating a collection of 125 different FM patches from incredible brass sounds to deep basses, from smooth analogue sounding strings to sharp digital tones. Of course, using the latest soft samplers, you can use filters and effects to further shape each of these sounds creating an endless list of unique sounds.
By taking so many samples of each sound at 24-bit quality we have managed to capture some of the heart and soul of the TX802. While many will appreciate that we have taken the time to sample every single note others will think it a little over the top. For these people (and those with limited hard drive space) we have placed each patch in its own folder together with a samples folder for that one sound, this means that you need only install those sounds which interest you most. Alternatively you may wish to remove some of our samples and reassign the notes in your soft sampler - however doing this may reduce the authentic feel of the sounds as they are stretched to cover more notes. Many companies choose to only take a few samples per octave but we prefer to sample every tone and let you decide if you want to cut corners or not - we, obvioulsy, advise that you use all of our samples for superior sound.
